Executive Director of Apple – Tim Cook has discussed with the management of Samsung the possibility of using AMOLED displays in the next generation of tablet iPad. Asia News Network reported, citing an anonymous source. Official representative of Samsung Mobile Display, said he did not know anything about the negotiations with Apple.

Last week, Tim Cook actually visited South Korea and it is quite possible to met there with the authority of Samsung. It is worth noted that the Korean manufacturer is not using AMOLED displays in any of their three tablets.

Negotiations between Apple and Samsung, if indeed there was any, had a bit of the patent dispute between the two companies.
