How to edit Live Photos in iOS 11

Live Photos is one of the best camera features on Apple iPhone. Live Photos quickly topped the list of the most used features on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Basically, Live Photos allows you to capture still images that animate with a press, something you’d find in the Harry Potter movie franchise.

In reality, Live-Photos is not new out there, as Microsoft has already baked a similar feature into their Lumia phones, known as Living Images. However, Apple is finally making the feature an essential part of its iOS.

In iOS 11, Live Photos gets an upgrade with a series of new effects and editing tools. From now on, users can trim their Live Photos and apply a variety of new effects like long exposures and loops to spice up their Live Photos.

In this step-by-step guide, we will run you through the steps to edit Live Photos in iOS 11 on your iPhone. Before moving ahead, make sure that you are now running iOS 11 on your device. If not, update your device first (Apple has recently released the public beta of iOS 11, so you can download and install it without the need for a developer account).
