iPhone 5 has no NFC chip

It seems that Apple may not be incorporated into the NFC wave this year. Once Nexus S was among the first smartphone with NFC chip (Nokia C7 is also sold since autumn 2010) and came last year, and MWC saw the mobile Samsung Galaxy S II with such functionality, all suggested that Apple will also add such hardware in the iPhone 5. According to English newspaper Indepdent however not so and the next generation of smartphones will not have an NFC chip.

Although the information is unofficial, it was leaked by British operators who have had a meeting with representatives of Apple. According to them, Americans are still reluctant to adopt technology because of the lack of universal standard for NFC and work on its proposal, which will connect the mobile payments with iTunes and will appear next year.
