Steps to hide text messages and email notification previews from iOS 10 lock screen on iPhone and iPad
Step one: First off, you need to launch the Settings app from your home screen. After that, you need to scroll down a little bit and tap on Notifications, then select Messages
Step two: Next up, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and tap on Show Previews to proceed
Step three: Once you are in, you will be presented with three options including Always, When Unlocked and Off. You simply need to select OFF to proceed
Step four: Once you are done, head back to the Notifications screen and then tap Mail
Step five: You now need to tap the email account you have already set on your iPhone or iPad. After that, hit the Show Previews at the bottom and then select OFF to disable email notification previews from the lock screen.
Once everything is done, you will no longer see a preview of text message and an email notification on your lock screen.
