51Most social messaging apps out there now offer a common feature called read receipts, and that’s no different with WhatsApp. Basically, the feature allows sender to know if the recipient has read their messages or not. If you now have WhatsApp on your iPhone, you should see a blue double tick next to your message, indicating that the recipient has read it.

However, there are times when you want to read your message without the sender knowing that you saw their message. In reality, WhatsApp allows you to turn off read receipts feature, and this tutorial will show you how to do that.

Step one: First off, you need to launch WhatsApp from your home screen. Once you are in, hit the Settings icon located at the bottom-right corner of the screen and move to the next step

Step two: Once you are done, tap on Account and select Privacy

Step three: Next up, navigate to the bottom and tap on the switch next to Read Receipts to disable the feature.

Once you have turned off read receipts in WhatsApp for iPhone, you now can read a message without the recipient knowing you saw it. Besides, when you send a message to your friends or someone else, you will not see a blue double tick next to your message.

Steps to hide Last Seen in WhatsApp for iPhone

Step one: First and foremost, launch WhatsApp on your iPhone and then select the Settings app from the bottom corner

Step two: Next up, you now need to select Account and hit Privacy

Step three: Once you are done, you need to tap on Last Seen and make sure that you select “Nobody

That’s it! If you change your mind, you simply need to repeat the above process and enable the feature.
