Your iPhone not vibrating? Try out these tips

20Normally, your iPhone will vibrate when a notification or alert comes in. This comes in handy, when your iPhone is placed in the pocket. However, there are times when your iPhone fails to vibrate, causing you to miss some important calls or alerts.

If you are experiencing the issue, well you are not alone out there because many users are also dealing with the same problem. In reality, there are a number of reasons behind the issue; it may be with wrong configurations or hardware problems.

In this guide, we will show you some useful tips to fix iPhone not vibrating issue.

  1. Enable Vibrate on Ring or Vibrate on silent

If your iPhone doesn’t vibrate, make sure that you have already turned on Vibrate on Ring or Vibrate on silent toggles on your device. If you are not sure, read on to find out how.

Step one: First off, launch the Settings app from your home screen and then select Sounds

Step two: From here, you can enable either Vibrate on Ring or Vibrate on Silent. If you choose to turn on Vibrate on Ring, your iPhone will vibrate when it is not in silent mode. If you turn on Vibrate on Silent, your phone will still vibrate even when it is now in silent mode

  1. Reset Settings

If the above-mentioned solution fails to work for you, you can try resetting your device’s settings. Keep in mind that resetting the device’s settings will not remove any content from your iPhone, instead your device will go back to the factory settings.

Step one: Launch the Settings app from your home screen and then tap on General

Step two: Next up, you need to tap Reset then select Reset All Settings and confirm your action

Step three: Once the reset process is completed, check if the problem is fixed

  1. Restore your iPhone

If the problem still persists, the best shot for dealing with the problem is to restore your device. Before we begin, make sure that you have already created a backup of your device.

Step one: Connect your device with a Mac or PC and then open iTunes on your computer (Make sure that you are now running a modern version of iTunes)

Step two: Next up, head to the Summary page and hit the Restore button

Step three: Once you are done, follow the instructions to complete the restore process
